A man who refers to himself as the “Bob Marley of Malta” has been taken into custody after allegedly damaging a vehicle and verbally abusing police officers in a public disturbance earlier this week.

The 34-year-old Maltese national, who is known locally for his eccentric behavior and reggae-inspired lifestyle, was arrested on Wednesday evening in Valletta following reports of a man behaving aggressively near a parked car on Republic Street. Witnesses claim the man was shouting incoherently and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he began kicking and hitting a car parked outside a local shop.

Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving multiple emergency calls from concerned bystanders. As they attempted to question and calm the suspect, he reportedly became increasingly agitated, using foul language and hurling insults at the officers.
