For Spurs, missing out on Eze remains a major what-if moment. With the club often criticized for lacking creative spark in recent years, Eze could have been the game-changer they needed. Instead, Palace have reaped the rewards of a player who, according to Wright, was destined for a different path.
“His story is amazing,” Wright concluded. “When you hear his family say, ‘God intervened,’ you can’t argue with what he’s doing now. Sometimes destiny has the final say.”
