Ed Sheeran has donated millions of dollars to support children’s hospitals, charities and schools in England. He grew up in Framlingham in Suffolk, England. He also helped fund and open a state-of-the-art recording space called Gingerbread Studios at his former school Thomas Mills High School. The school says the studio gives young musicians a place to learn, create, and be heard.

 

Ed has also given away personal items such as old concert tickets, handwritten lyrics, and his own artwork. One of his paintings was auctioned to support children with special needs, according to Suffolk News.

 

In early 2025, he started the Ed Sheeran Foundation. In a statement, Ed said, “Every child deserves to have access to a meaningful music education, and the chance to experience the joy and confidence that musical expression can bring,” What began as support for children in his hometown has expanded to include programs across the United Kingdom.
